Diane’s idea for a podcast series, “Structurally Speaking,” grew out of her work teaching for the UCLA Extension Writers Program. Each week, she found herself breaking down and analyzing a different classic and/or popular movie specifically in terms of its screenplay and structure.
In this series, she’ll throw a light on not only what screenwriters are doing to create the most compelling stories possible, but also how they’re doing it. Twice a month she’ll add a new movie, sometimes one currently in theaters, sometimes a time-tested favorite, and share her thoughts and insight on what’s working, sometimes what isn’t, and why. Stay tuned.
